1897 Born Nov 16, village Balachaur, Hoshiarpur (E.Punjab) 1912 Matriculates from Saindas Anglo-Sanskrit High School of Jullunder City; joins Islamia College, Lahore 1915 Passes intermediate exam in arts of the Univ. of Punjab from Islamia College 1918 Graduates from Islamia College, Lahore (Punjab Univ.) 1918-23 Tutor, Aitchison College, Lahore 1923-25? Studies at Punjab Univ. Law College 1923-30 Legal Advisor & PS, Nawab of Mazari. Wins Mazari's legal case; rewarded handsomely. Plans for higher studies abroad 1930 November, arrives in London, England Admitted to Middle Temple Inn of Court to read for the bar 1931 January, joins Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge 1933 January 28, issues Pakistan Declaration "Now or Never" in which word "Pakstan" was first published. April, obtains BA degree from Cambridge. 1937 Visits France & Germany 1939 Visits Boston, MA, USA, & Japan 1940 Visits Hong Kong, Ceylon, Bombay 1940 Feb, arrives Karachi; barred from travelling to Punjab (venue for All-India Muslim League's Lahore Session). March 22, addresses Supreme Council of his Pakistan National Movement; proposes wider Pak Plan. 1940 April ?, leaves Karachi for England June, back in Cambridge Oct, takes Cambridge MA degree 1941-47 Publishes various booklets elaborating on his Pak Plan 1943 Jan, called to the Bar, Middle Temple Inn, London 1948 April, back in Pakistan April-June, gives interviews in "Pakistan Times","Ehsan" August, writes letter to UN Sec-Gen on plight of Muslim minority in India October, leaves Pakistan on government's orders Nov-Dec, in Paris to persuade UN delegates to take interest in condition of Muslim minority in India 1949 Publishes pamphlet on plight of Indian Muslims 1950 Final publication on state of Pakistan, "Pakistan or Pastan". 1951 Feb 3, dies at 1.00pm in Evelyn Nursing Home, Cambridge Feb 20, buried at 3.00pm in Newmarket Road Cemetery, Cambridge.
